Hordio takes its name from the Old Norse word hodd, a treasure or hoard: something valuable worth keeping and protecting.
In the old stories a hoard was guarded carefully, because it was what a family or a chieftain had built up over a lifetime. A modern company has its own hoard: computers and phones, vehicles, machines, tools and furniture. Often it is worth more than anything else on the balance sheet, yet it is tracked in spreadsheets, emails and the memory of a few people.
We built Hordio to change that. It is software for the companies that keep the Nordic countries running: contractors, workshops, offices, schools, municipalities and service companies. It should be simple enough to set up in an afternoon, and thorough enough for the accountant, the auditor and the IT department.
Hordio is made in Iceland. It speaks Icelandic and English from day one, understands kennitala, ISK and Icelandic VAT, and keeps your data in the EU.
